Joe Dolce
Singer-songwriter Joe Dolce was born in Ohio, U.S.A. in 1947 of Italian ancestry. He now lives in Australia.
In 1980 under the name 'Joe Dolce Music Theatre', Joe released the hit single 'Shaddup You Face'. In early 1981 it reached number one in the UK Singles Chart and stayed there for 3 weeks. An international hit, it was also number one in 15 countries with over 35 different foreign language cover versions.
It remained one of the most successful song (in terms of sales) in Australian music history for 25 years. Dolce received the Advance Australia Award in 1981.
In 2006 Joe returned to the stage to blow away audiences in the Countdown Spectacular Tour.
