Led by the charismatic Martha Davis, The Motels were one of the most successful and acclaimed bands to emerge from the fertile Los Angeles new wave scene.

Molly fell in love with Martha Davis and The Motels when he met them in Germany in 1979. He was there to interview Bette Midler, but came home raving about The Motels.
