....this line from a song is going around and around in my head....it would have been circa 1983. i thought it was Prefab Sprout, but i've just combed through all of their songs and no, plus its a little too early. Anyone have any idea of a song, around 1983, probably from a UK band, with the lyric 'Breakfast in bed' in the chorus? cheers...

HI, is there an archive anywhere with what date what bands performed on countdown? I'm writing a book atm and want to get my facts straight. There were many times I was in the audience and met the bands after but am having trouble remembering the year lol Any idea if such a thing exists or am i gonna have to guess? :/ cheers all :)

I used to own the vinyl record but sadly I somehow lost it in one of my many house moves. Since the advent of the internet I have been trying to track this song down again but not only have I had no luck, I cannot find any reference to the band or the song AT ALL!

can you help please. i am trying to track down a band that appeared on countdown. i believe it was their last performance before breaking up. i thought the band's name was something like aerial and the song they played contained the phrase''now its only love''. i still have that song in my brain
but cannot find it anywhere. any ideas please????

"I know the above song was played on one of the original Countdowns in 1980. It was a top hit for the year in 1980. Can anyone help with finding a film clip for the song? I am an avid collector, not commercial and this is the only video I cannot find in my 1980 collection.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a countdown spectacular 3 concert soon, i went to the second one and LOVED IT, and have been raving about it since, and would love to go to another one, as would others that i have spoke to.

No there are no CD's of Finch at the moment...but i do have a copy of Thunderbird on CD....have seen copies of the vinyl on the net going for near $500...B/S.

Can anyone please help me. I am looking for a copy of the song "I am" which was on the album you give what you get. i have been unable to locate this song anywhere and would apprecieate some help.

Recently, rage showed a segment of 'Flashez' behind the scenes at a taping of Countdown. Can anyone give me a date - just the month and year will do - when this segment was filmed or originally shown? The episode of Countdown being taped was hosted by Mike Meade from Flashez. His website says he hosted only 5 episodes of Countdown so that should narrow it down somewhat.

Is there anyone who can help me locate CDs of any of the above. Lead singer Owen Orford. Many, many times on Countdown. They had a number of hits in Australia in the 70's including: Where were you (Finch), Short Changed Again etc. Albums to name "Nothing to Hide" & "Thunderbird", and as Contraband, self-titled Contraband (Label:Portrait)......main hit off that one "That's your way". If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. (DESPERATE!!). Amazon don't have anything!
