James Freud tragedy

The Australian music industry is still in mourning after 51-year-old singer and guitarist James Freud died in Melbourne on 4 November, just days after the Models were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

Freud, who’s real name was Colin McGlinchey, joined the Models in 1982 and penned the hit singles 'Barbados' and 'Out of Mind Out of Sight'. He was known to have battled with substance abuse, which he wrote about in his two autobiographies. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
